OUR DISCIPLINARY POLICY

WE HOPE WE NEVER HAVE TO USE IT.

At Telford Flyers BMX Club, we are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members. Our disciplinary process ensures that any breaches of club policies, safeguarding standards, or our Code of Conduct are handled fairly, consistently, and confidentially.

What Constitutes a Breach?

Disciplinary action may be taken for:

• Breaches of the Safeguarding Policy or Code of Conduct.

• Bullying, harassment, or discrimination.

• Failure to uphold the club’s values of respect, inclusion, and fair competition.

• Any behavior that poses a safeguarding risk to others.

Disciplinary Stages

1. Initial Warning – A verbal or written warning for minor breaches.

2. Formal Investigation – An internal investigation for serious breaches, with evidence gathered from all relevant parties.

3. Sanctions – Actions may range from a temporary suspension to permanent exclusion, depending on the severity of the issue.

4. Appeals Process – All individuals have the right to appeal any disciplinary decisions.

All disciplinary matters will be handled in line with British Cycling regulations, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and due process. Our goal is to maintain a positive and safe environment for every rider, parent, and volunteer at Telford Flyers BMX Club.
