ABOUT TELFORD FLYERS

We are more than just a club—we are a vibrant community dedicated to fostering a passion for BMX racing and cycling in all its forms. From exhilarating BMX racing to challenging cyclocross and balance bike sessions, our club offers a diverse range of activities designed to engage riders of all ages and skill levels. Our mission is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where every member can thrive, develop their skills, and share in the joy of cycling.  

Leading our dynamic team is Head Coach Martin “Smiley” Brown, a seasoned professional in the BMX world. With a career spanning pro elite and cruiser categories, Martin brings a wealth of experience and an infectious enthusiasm to the track. Beyond his competitive achievements, he is renowned for his dedication to coaching, offering specialised BMX and MTB training through his initiative, Smiley’s Flight Club. Martin’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting the sport is evident, whether he’s guiding a young rider mastering their first pedals or leading advanced training sessions.  

Our club is proud to host regional and national events annually at our home base, the National BMX Track located at Duce Drive, Dawley, Telford. This premier facility serves as the heart of our community, where riders come together to train, compete, and celebrate their shared love for the sport. We also offer specialised sessions like the “Female Flyers,” aimed at encouraging more women and girls to participate in BMX, fostering an environment of empowerment and camaraderie.
