OUR SAFEGUARDING POLICY
The safety and wellbeing of all our members—children, young people, and adults—are our top priority. Our safeguarding policy, aligned with British Cycling standards, ensures that everyone can enjoy BMX in a safe, supportive environment.
We are committed to:
• Protecting all participants from harm, regardless of age, ability, gender, ethnicity, or background.
• Maintaining robust procedures for recruitment, training, and DBS checks for staff and volunteers.
• Providing clear processes for reporting concerns, ensuring they are handled swiftly, confidentially, and appropriately.
• Fostering an inclusive culture where respect, safety, and wellbeing are embedded in everything we do.
Our policy outlines essential guidelines on child protection, anti-bullying, safe use of social media, and the responsibilities of our welfare officers. We encourage all members—riders, parents, and volunteers—to familiarise themselves with our safeguarding standards and work together to promote a positive and safe BMX experience for all.
